Renewal of Vows
No matter how long you have been married, it is always important to reflect on your wedding vows. Today, many couples are choosing to celebrate a special anniversary by renewing their vows with a ceremony.
I can help you create a ceremony that honours your continued love and commitment to one another.
As part of your renewal of vows, I will prepare a unique ceremony for your approval and can attend at any location to perform the renewal ceremony. I will also provide a certificate for your renewal.
I would be honoured to help you create a unique ceremony for your vow renewal.
Child/Baby Namings
A child or baby naming ceremony is a celebration that your child is born into your loving family and your community of friends. It is also the time to consider our responsibilities toward the child.
By formally naming him or her, we are marking the individuality and uniqueness of the child. There are many traditions that you can incorporate into your event.
Your service can include family and friends as honourary guardians, sponsors or supporting adults. You will formalize the naming ceremony with the signing of the naming certificate along with your child’s mentors.
I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to plan this recognition.
Celebrations of Life
A Humanist funeral or memorial service is a Celebration of Life. Humanists embrace core values of respect, responsibility, compassion, and love.
There are many families who may not have a church or religious affiliation but wish for a meaningful time of reflection in celebration of their loved one’s life and accomplishments. I believe it is an honour and privilege to conduct a service that meets with the hopes and wishes of the bereaved.
Ceremonies are designed to help a family celebrate the life of a loved one and to say goodbye.
I will meet with the family prior to the day of the funeral to assist with the gathering of information appropriate for the service.
Members of the family are invited to speak during the ceremony or ask me to read something on their behalf. I always prepare a personalized service in keeping with the family’s wishes.
